Here’s a little bit about me:
I am wired to be the most anxious person you'll ever meet. And, since I was about 7 years old, people seemed to like to talk to me. Combine these two things and early on I knew that I needed to learn how to manage and understand what I was experiencing and how I could help others. When I found psychotherapy, I knew it was the solution I had been searching for and have been insatiable in building my knowledge ever since. If there's a struggle I'm unfamiliar with or a new technique I discover, I learn as much as I can to be an effective resource to help others.
My goal in working with you is for you to not need me anymore. Most clients come in weekly in the beginning and then gradually taper out as needed, maybe returning for future booster sessions, when necessary. I love my job and I feel grateful every day that I get to help people for a living.

Work Experience
Throughout my career, I have worked in rape crisis response, violence prevention (McLean Hospital), and college counseling centers (University of Pennsylvania, New York University, and Boston College).
Since starting private practice, I’ve worked to establish myself as a specialist in treating trauma and anxiety and I am regularly attending trainings and workshops to ensure I am using the most effective and up-to-date treatment strategies. Over the years I have regularly provided lectures and trainings for post-doctoral fellows in trauma assessment, trauma treatment techniques, and exposure therapy for panic disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder. Additionally, I taught courses in exposure therapy and somatic experiencing at the NYU Silver School of Social Work Trauma Training Program. I also offer direct supervision to clinicians on using CBT and ACT and acceptance-based behavioral therapies for treating trauma and anxiety disorders.
