Here’s a little bit about me:

I offer daytime and evening hours in my New York City office at 303 5th avenue, suite 1503 (between 32nd and 31st) , a 5 minute walk from the Herald Square subway stop.
My goal when working with you is for you to not need me anymore. Most clients come in weekly in the beginning and then gradually taper out as needed, maybe returning for future booster sessions, when necessary.
EDUCATION & TRaining
I attended undergrad at the University of Connecticut and I earned my Masters in Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania. I completed a post-graduate program in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Cognitive Therapy.
I have specialty certifications and training in the following areas:
- Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Exposure and Response Therapy at the University of Pennsylvania Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety.
- I completed the 3 year training in Somatic Experiencing and an additional training in Diane Poole Heller’s Treating Attachment Trauma.
- I’ve completed specialized training in CBT-I, cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia.
- I am trained extensively in working with survivors of trauma, pornography addiction, and anxiety spectrum disorders.
- I also specialize in treating procrastination, sexual dysfunction, chronic pain, substance abuse, and impulse-control issues.
Experience
I worked as a rape crisis counselor in Connecticut and following that I facilitated a violence-prevention process group at McLean Hospital in Massachusetts. Also, I spent time interning at the University of Pennsylvania Counseling and Psychological Services.
I have spent over 6 years working in college counseling at Penn, NYU, and Boston College.
Finally, I am an adjunct lecturer at the NYU Silver School of Social Work Trauma Training Program.
I’m a big believer in learning new skills, keeping up with the latest research and treatment techniques. I’m regularly engaging in new training opportunities.
